The metadata stripper is labelled as removing C2PA provenance, which it verifiably does. And the text watermark is described as something no browser tool can remove, because that is true and pretending otherwise would be the same trick with a different logo.
The test to apply to any tool
Ask what it claims to remove, then ask how it would prove that.
For files the proof is trivial — read the metadata again. For the text watermark there is no proof available to anyone, because Anthropic has not shipped a detector. A tool claiming verified text removal is claiming something unmeasurable.
