Free Claude Watermark Tools
Three tools, each labelled with what it actually does. Everything runs locally in your browser — no upload, no account, no storage. One of these genuinely removes a Claude mark; the other two do useful adjacent jobs, and say so.
C2PA and metadata stripper
Reads the provenance and metadata blocks inside a .png, .jpg or .svg, then removes them at byte level without re-encoding. Pixel data is untouched. This one genuinely works, and you can verify it by re-checking the cleaned file.
Invisible character scrubber
Removes zero-width and bidi control characters, and optionally normalises unusual spaces. This does not remove the Claude text watermark — that mark is statistical, not a character. This cleans formatting artefacts, which is a different and genuinely useful job.
Is my text marked?
No detector exists, so this reasons from provenance instead of reading the text. It is deduction, not measurement — which is currently the best anyone can do.
Assume the mark is present. A supported model produced it, there is no opt-out, and nothing since has weakened it.
What is missing, and why
There is no button here that removes the statistical text watermark, because no such button can exist in a browser. Weakening that mark requires substantially rewriting the passage, and confirming the result requires a detector Anthropic has not released.
Any tool offering instant, client-side removal of the Claude text watermark is running the character scrubber above and describing it as something else.
